Film Funding Bodies

The Australian Film Commission (AFC)

AFC's aims to enrich Australia's cultural identity by:

• fostering an internationally competitive audiovisual production industry

• developing and preserving a national collection of sound and moving images

• making Australia's audiovisual heritage available to all Australians.

The AFC is an Australian Government agency and maintains offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney

Film Finance Corporation Australia

The FFC is the Australian Government's principal agency for funding the production of film and television in Australia. It is a wholly owned government company.

The government supports film and television production to ensure that Australians have the opportunity to make and watch their own screen stories. The FFC will only fund projects with high levels of creative and technical contribution by Australians , or projects certified under Australia's Official Co-Production Program.

The Queensland Government's
Pacific Film and Television Commission (PFTC)

facilitates and celebrates quality film and television production in Queensland.

Our key role is to develop and support the local film industry, attract production to Queensland, and celebrate an active screen culture across the State.

Globally, Queensland is known for its stunning locations, talented crew, and attractive financial incentives.

Locally, the State is a growing force in Australia's film industry landscape and a key contributor to the creative health of our nation.

Screenworks

Northern Rivers SCREENWORKS is the film, television and multimedia industries office for the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia.

Established in 2001 to foster the development of a sustainable creative screen industries community we act as a driver of innovation, industry development and screen culture.

Northern Rivers SCREENWORKS Ltd is a non-profit company limited by guarantee. The board of directors includes some of Australia’s leading film, television and digital media producers and business representatives.

Our office is located in Byron Bay where we can be contacted for advice on locations, industry contacts, services and facilities throughout the region.

The objective is to foster and promote the development of screen and creative industries and a vibrant screen culture in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
